Upgrading TV1 IR to UHF Pro

TV1 of all dual-tuner, two-TV satellite receivers can be operated using UHF Pro instead of infrared (IR) by purchasing a

replacement remote control kit. Follow the procedure (on this or the following page) for your particular receiver model to

make TV1 operate using a UHF Pro remote control.

Note: See the 20.0 and 21.0 remote controls.

For ViP222, ViP622 DVR, ViP722 DVR, and DISH Player-DVR 942

1. Purchase a 6.3 or 6.4 replacement remote control.

2. Locate the key/side with the green UHF Pro logo and black 1.

3. Remove the battery cover, remove the blue 2 UHF Pro key from the replacement remote control, and then insert the green key.

4. Display the receiver's System Information screen using the front panel SYS INFO button.

5. Press RECORD on the replacement remote control. The Primary Remote Address listed in the System Information

screen will change from “IR” to “IR/UHF Pro.”
